In October 08-12, 2018 professor PhD Kęstutis Romaneckas (ASU Faculty of Agronomy) visited University of Palermo according to the programme ERASMUS+. Programme coordinator prof. Antonio Comparetti and Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry of this university are the long-term partners of ASU.
The main objectives of the mobility was to increase the professional oral and objective skills while presentations for foreign students; to increase skills in English; to grow up the competencies exchange. Also to grow up the relations with teachers and students in University of Palermo. During visit, prof. K. Romaneckas presented three lectures on the topics: Soil tillage and sowing systems for sustainability; Weed management. Theory and practice in Lithuania; Evaluation of technologies and integrated farming systems. During the lectures professor discussed with students and colleagues about the differences of Lithuanian and Italian economic, climate and environment situation, approaches and technologies in agriculture. Professor mentioned about the possibilities to visit Lithuania, Aleksandras Stulginskis University for ERASMUS studies, training or teaching.
In free time, professor made sightseeing in wonderful historical places of Palermo.
