21st World Congress of Soil Science: beyond food and fuel

In August researcher Dr. Zita Kriaučiūnienė from Agroecosystems and Soil Sciences Institute of Agronomy Faculty participated in 21st World Congress of Soil Science: beyond food and fuel (https://www.21wcss.org/) in Brazil hosted by Latin American Soil Science Society (LASSS), Brazilian Soil Science Society (BSSS) and International Union of Soil Science (IUSS). She presented research about the influence of biological preparations and humus content on soil biological activity. This research and participation in the conference was partly funded by a grant (No. SIT-8/2015) from the Research Council of Lithuania. Research was performed in cooperation with the Vytautas Magnus University under the scientific research project ‘Climate change and environmental impact on a complex agro-ecosystem productivity, biodiversity and sustainability’ (KLIMAGRO) which is included in National Research Program.

Also she was delegated to represent Lithuanian Soil Science Society at the Division of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences of Lithuanian Academy of Sciences attending the European Confederation of Soil Science Societies (ECSSS) statutes voting assembly.
